Break the 60 second recording barrier. WaveRecorder32 records unlimited seconds of sound and music direct from your microphone or LineIn port of your sound card. Written entirely in C# using Visual Studio and Microsoft® DirectX.
WaveRecorder32 is a simple, easy-to-use, and affordable sound recorder for both Windows® XP and Windows® Vista. WaveRecorder32 was written entirely in c# using DirectX.
WaveRecorder32 goes beyond the 60 seconds of recording time, unlike the sound recorders built into XP and Vista. Recording sound from the microphone or music using the LineIn of your sound card.
The wave (.wav) files can be recorded in High Quality (very large files) or CD Quality (pretty much the standard and over 20% smaller in size). Sound effects such as Chorus, Reverb, Flange, Echo, Gargle, and Distort can be applied when playing back your wave file. Volume can be set by using the mouse or keyboard and can be adjusted while playing back your recordings.
The wave files can be saved from to any location, incorporated into your applications, games or other application using the Pcm format. WaveRecorder32 can also load other Pcm files, which Vista's recorder will not do.
If you have older wave files recorded from XP and would like to use them again, then WaveRecorder32 is perfect for you.
We wrote this program, tired of trying to use the newer WMA format which was scratchy and lousy, after using the Sound Recorder in XP then switching to Vista, well this is why this program was written.
If you're interested in obtaining the code (written in c# using Visual Studio Professional 2008) then please contact us at: contact@granitemountainsoftware.com and we will see if we can come to some arrangement.
